EU AID VOLUNTEERS: Vacancies available online

Are you at least 18 years old? Are you a citizen of the EU or a long-term resident in a EU Member State? Do you know one or more foreign languages? You can apply for a unique experience that could change your professional future, or your life!
Through the EU Aid Volunteers initiative, financed by the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Department (ECHO), you can apply for a unique experience in the humanitarian aid field in different countries throughout Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Hungarian Baptist Aid's partner organization, GVC – Grupo di Volontariato Civile, Alianza por la Solidaridad and La Guilde will select 30 volunteers who will work in 11 different local organizations in Haiti, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon and Cambodia.
Missions will last from 6 to 12 months; the initiative is open to two different profiles:
- Juniors, who want to gain experience in the humanitarian sector
- Seniors, with over 5 years of relevant professional experience, who want to help out with their acquired knowledge.
Volunteers will participate in such activities as logistics and administration, disaster risk management, promotion of women’s rights or communication. They will join humanitarian programmes aiming to guarantee support and increase the resilience of the most vulnerable communities.
Conditions of service during deployment. Volunteers will receive a monthly subsistence lump sum intended to cover basic needs and local transport.
Accommodation, Visa fees, insurance and airfares will be covered.
