László Pavelcze, Disaster Management Director at HBAid, said that they have two cars staying in Székesfehérvár at the moment. They are on their way with a four-member team on board to main road 85 to assist in the technical rescue of the trapped vehicles. “In the course of the day up till now, we’ve already conducted rescue operations in Veszprém, Vas and Zala counties. We also have a motor-truck ready in our Gyál premises that can be immediately deployed as a mobile petrol station in case the western border of the country is shut down and a line accumulates again on the roads leading to the border crossing points. We are also prepared to cooperate with the Maltese Charity in distributing tea and food to people stuck on the roads if the need arises.”
During the night hours, the special rescue team may be deployed in Győr-Moson-Sopron, Vas, Zala, Veszprém, and Somogy counties.
