Myanmar: Teaching Emergency Response Methods

A five-member-team of Hungarian Baptist Aid (HBAid); Béla Szilágyi, vice-president, Dávid Gál, director of international programs, Sándor Horváth, security advisor, Csaba Lukács, journalist, and Isti Madarász, arrived home on March 8 from Myanmar, where they completed another mission.

Ten years ago a huge tsunami swept over the Indian-Ocean, which took the lives of nearly 230,000 people and made hundreds of thousands of people homeless. HBAid’s Rescue 24 special rescue team travelled to Sri Lanka immediately to help rescuing the victims.

Further Hungarian Mission in South Sudan

Hungarian Baptist Aid sends another aid mission group of 3 members supported by a logistics expert and the Hungarian ambassador of Cairo to Christian South Sudan, which had suffered a humanitarian catastrophe. The relief organization donates 4 million forints from its catastrophe money fund, which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs supports with another 3 million forints – said Péter Wintermantel the Deputy State Secretary for Global Affair.

Donations to Haitian Orphans

On March 8th, a group of Hungarian Baptist Aid (HBAid) workers arrived in Haiti to bring donations to the orphans who live in the institutions sponsored by HBAid.
